Hey everybody, help us celebrate Rogtoberfest on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Lynnwood Brewing Concern on Whitaker Mill. Starts at noon, Oak City Polka Kings perform from 1-4. Brats, Bavarian pretzels and a fresh batch of Rogtoberfest brew, a traditional Marzen. Should be a blast!
Hi!
I moved to Raleigh in April, and I look forward to making new friends and being active in the community. What's your favorite restaurant?
Hello
Moved to the area last December. I haven't been the best about socializing and getting to know people outside my job but I want to try and get acquainted with new people at least. Originally from Colorado and live in North Raleigh area
The Taras'
Hi all! My husband and I just moved to Cary (Park West Village area) from Brier Creek, but originally from south of Pittsburgh and Western Mass. Looking to expand our friend base!
Hello All
Hi everyone! I live in Brier Creek and love getting Mason's updates each week with fun things to do!
New to area
Hey new to area from the greatest little state of RI, but love it here and enjoy the updates on what's happening locally. Thanks.
We Love Raleigh
Retired teacher and RN. Moved here 1.5 years ago from WNC on the TN line in the middle of nowhere. Love it here. Everything about Raleigh from the vibes, great restaurants, pubs, parks and of course the Canes. Lots of opportunities to volunteer and stay busy. We love to travel.
Outside of the newsletter, who else do you like to read in Raleigh?
Always looking for other great written content, books, newsletters, and more.

Quick Tips for This Community
Just a quick update but wanted to share that these posts can be made by anyone + I will be adding a few more channels this week.
You can actually add this page to your home screen on your phone to get notifications as well as DM people (you can turn it off if need be), so this can be a great free spot to connect with people from the dinner club or other events.
This is a new feature through the platform, so it may take some trial and error for us to get everything working smoothly.
Shoot me a DM if you want to test how it works or to just say hello as well.
Hi, I'm Mason. Founder of The Raleighwood Inbox.
Hi folks, it's Mason here. Wanted to share a few things about myself to get the channel started (nobody likes to be the first to post, haha).
I am a Raleigh local, was born here some 30ish years ago. Moved away for a bit in my college years to be with family in Florida and came back a few years ago to Raleigh, where I have been ever since.
I am full-time on the newsletter as of mid-2026 but my previous careers have taken me through a wide variety of roles. I graduated with an art degree, made my way through some Animation and Graphic Design roles, launched a career in IT, and until recently, worked in Cybersecurity at a Fortune 500.
I enjoy reading books, finding (and playing) new music, and working on a variety of passion projects or learning new things in my free time.
I believe in good people, good times, and good intentions. I aim to write the newsletter with that same voice and I hope you all enjoy what comes out each and every week.
As always, my inbox (and now messages on here) are open so if you ever have any questions or just want to say hello, feel free to reach out. Cheers!
