Labor Day & The Unofficial End of Summer
• Most things are closed in recognition of Labor Day, so take the day off, you’ve earned it. If you didn’t make it to the beach yet this summer, consider it soon, as most people consider this the last official day of Summer (though it ends officially with the fall equinox, which is on the 22nd).

15th Annual Hopscotch Indie Music Festival
When & Where: 4th-6th, Times Vary, Downtown Raleigh — Event Details
• One of the best independent music events in the country, Hopscotch returns for its 15th year. Hopscotch starts locally with day parties and events leading up to the main event, which takes place around 9PM each night.
Check out day parties as soon as Wednesday, Sept. 3rd from venues like Neptunes, The Pour House, Kings, Le Dive, Slims, Crank Arm, and much more! — day party list.

• North Carolina’s largest vintage clothing market and thrift convention! Perfect for those who love fashion and sustainability, as we well as nostalgic finds, such as retro gaming, music, and more!

Pop Shop ARTernative Makers Market
When & Where: 11AM-3PM, Chapel of Bones — Event Info
• Monthly market at one of Raleigh’s coolest metal/alternative bars! Located downtown just a couple minutes away from the State Farmers Market, this event features a long list of vendors, with a bit more focus on the alternative art scene.

• September 7th: Summer Concert Series w/ SWAG, Fred Fletcher Park | 5PM — info.
• September 10th: Sierra Ferrell, Red Hat Amphitheater | 8PM — tickets.

Juniper Level Botanical Garden: Open to Public Event!
When & Where: 9AM-5PM, 12th-14th — Open Garden Day Info
• The last two open garden events of the year at the Juniper Level Gardens, a 10-acre educational, research, and display garden, take place just a few minutes south of Downtown Raleigh this month.
The last of their two weekend events take place on the 19th-21st, if you are looking for another weekend. They won’t return until February for open garden days, so stop by while you can!

Raleigh Underground Makers Market, w/ Josee Molavi
When & Where: 11AM, Midtown Park — Details + Artist Lineup
• The flyer does the talking on this one, 50+ vendors, live music, music, and more! Check it out in Midtown Park over at North Hills mid September.

• September 18th: The Orchestra (ELO), Martin Marietta Center | 7:30PM — tickets.

919 Day: A Raleigh Celebration!
When & Where: 5PM, The Corner NCSU — Official Event Info
• Bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs! The Corner is hosting a live music and food truck event over on Centennial Campus, check out the link above for more info and if you make it to the event, get a chance at winning tickets to Mt. Joy!

Bugfest 2025: Science Event all about Arthropods!
When & Where: 10AM @ NC Museum of Natural Sciences — Details
• One of the largest museum events of the year, Bugfest has over 100 exhibits that take you through hands on activities, the world of arthropods, and their importance in our world.
This year (as seen below) has a focus on krill! Learn about them and more over a bug prepped meal (yes, we were skeptical too but they say the food is great) at Cafe Insecta.

La Fiesta del Pueblo 2025: Latin American Culture Event!
When & Where: 12PM, Fayetteville St, Downtown Raleigh — Details
• The triangle’s largest festival of Latin America Culture returns this month! With an average draw of 25k people, this event has been running for nearly 30 years and will be filled with dance, vendors, food trucks, and more for the whole family.

Carolina Hurricanes Hockey: First Pre-Season Game
When & Where: 7PM, Lenovo Center — Single Game Tickets
• Scope out the players with the coaches in this first preseason game against Tampa Bay! Tickets tend to be cheaper for these events and the Panthers Game on the 24th is a General Admission event for anything higher than row 5 — details on that one here.
Opening night of regular season starts October 9th, against the New Jersey Devils.
