The Best Escape Rooms in Raleigh

Find the best Escape Rooms in Raleigh down below!

If you haven’t been to one, the premise is simple.

You get locked in a room (don’t worry they can let you out) and play a game requiring the people inside to solve a series of puzzles within a certain amount of time.

Each puzzle tends to give you a new clue or item that can be used to further your progression and reach the end goal of finding the key to escape the room.

Oftentimes these can be quite hard, so many places offer checkpoints where you can call it if you’re stuck and ask for a hint or save a spot on a leader board if you set a record time of completion.

If this sounds like a good time, check out some of the best escape rooms that Raleigh has to offer down below (in no particular order).

Nerd Escape Room Raleigh

At Nerd Escape Room you get 60 minutes in up 7 rooms of your choice! The last time we were there we escaped “The Return” (pictured above) with only a few minutes to spare.

It took our entire group to solve the puzzle of “returning home to an empty house, to find your wife and daughter are missing…” and apparently this room only gets solved 47% of the time, so we felt good about that one.

But don’t just take it from me, at the time of writing the Google Reviews have this location listed at 4.9 stars after over 1000 reviews.

Located on Glenwood South, in Downtown Raleigh.

The Tower Escapes

With 2 new rooms on the way: Sir Walter Speakeasy and the Dorothea Dix Asylum, The Tower Escapes are another sure bet. We managed to beat “The Secret of the The Tower Keeper” (our group was a bunch of DnD nerds, so this fit naturally).

This challenge we did with about 7 people but it allows up to 10 and they have 2 other rooms to choose from currently as well. We barely finished this one in time and had this been a DnD quest, we likely would have failed it.

At the time of writing they also have 4.9 stars, hovering around 800 reviews.

Located on West Morgan Street, in Downtown Raleigh.

All In Adventures Escape Rooms

While Triangle Town Center is not what is used to be, All In Adventures Escape Rooms is still quite the time. Had to dig on this one a bit more as it is the only one on the list I had not personally been too but my trusty friends came to the rescue here.

This place has 7 games as well, promising events for ages 6+, making this one of the family friendlier ones on the list. Their most popular one seems to be the ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ room, which hovers around 64% success rate online (personally, I say go for the more challenging ones, go big or go home!).

If you agree then the “Houdini's Prestige” might be a better option for you, coming in around a 42% success rate.

Located in Triangle Town Center, Raleigh.
