The Living in Color Art Exhibition takes place all month around Raleigh, honoring the contributions and history of African Americans in Raleigh — details here.
Running February 5th through the 22nd, Carmen w/ Carolina Ballet at Fletcher Opera runs with inspiration taken from the NCMA Book of Esther — info here.
Moonlight & Magnolias, running from the 6th through 22nd is a performance about three men laboring over five days to craft a screenplay for one of the most beloved films of all time — tickets and details.

Groundhog Day
When & Where: All Day, USA
Up until 2022, Raleigh had a groundhog by the name “Sir Walter Wally” he retired in 2023 and the closest groundhog we have currently is not a groundhog at all but “Sylvia the Apex Armadillo”.

The Krispy Kreme Challenge — Race Info
When & Where: 8AM @ NC State Memorial Belltower
The Krispy Kreme Challenge is a student run charity race benefiting the UNC Children’s Hospital, where participants run 5 miles, eat 12 donuts, under 1 hour.

When & Where: 4:30PM @ Raleigh Memorial Auditorium
The CAFA Chinese New Year Gala is a celebration of Chinese culture, music, and dance. Look for a variety of performances at this community event.

The Music Man Sr. — Performance Info
When & Where: Multiple Dates, 2PM or 3PM @ Raleigh Little Theatre
A variation on The Music Man with some old-fashioned acting from 55+ year old performers, auditions took place in January for this performance at Raleigh Little Theatre and run about 1 hour for the full show.

A 2 Day Rodeo featuring bronc riding, roping, barrel racing, bull riding and more! Family friendly, with good food and drink, plus they have a mechanical bull.

For 2 nights, watch Mountainfilm and the Fly Fishing Film Tour over at The Rialto to celebrate the Great Outdoors Provision Co. Film Festival. Mountainfilm is a collection of outdoor documentary shorts and the other is a fly fishing lineup.

The Raleigh Book Fair — Info
When & Where: Raleigh Iron Works, 12-5PM
With over 60 authors and vendors, one of the largest book fairs around takes over Raleigh Iron Works this month, be sure to stop by and grab a new read.

There’s a lot happening this month, fingers crossed the weather starts clearing up so we can all get back to enjoying some of the great stuff on offer here in Raleigh.
