We’ve been looking to expand our in-person offerings and we finally have an new event series to share:

The Raleighwood Inbox Dinner Club! 🥳 

How it Works

Take the quiz, book your seat, and get matched with 5 locals for dinner! Then meet for a secret after party location. Location announced day of, after-party announced at dinner.

When & Where is the 1st Event?

Wednesday, November 5th! Our first location being the Fayetteville Street District in Downtown Raleigh (all ages 21+).

Wednesday 15th

• Only TWO more midweek markets left for the season, check it out downtown at Moore Square every Wednesday for your farmers market needs from 4-7PM — local vendors.

• Into Science Fiction? Check out the Chapel of Bones book club as they talk about the Hyperion novel by Dan Simmons (a Hugo Award Winner) — book club here.

• The Oak City Comedy Festival kicks off today! Check out a multitude of comics at a variety of locations around downtown through the 19th — venues + schedule here.

Thursday 16th

• It’s that time of the year! The NC State Fair is back and running through the 26th. If you can get a weekday off, it’s best enjoyed with the smaller crowds so you can get a chance to see everything and find a spot to sit with your fried fair food — fair event info.

• The Seven Deadly Sins starts Thursday and runs through November 2nd over at Fletch Opera Theater, check out the Carolina Ballet on stage 7:30PM most night — details.

Friday 17th

• Catch the Rocky Horror Picture Show at The Rialto this Friday night! Doors open at 11:30PM for this cult classic — details linked here.

• NC Courage only have two games left, with their last home game being November 2nd but catch their away game online as they fight for the last playoff spot (they are 9th fighting for the top 8) — info here.

Saturday 18th

• NC FC also only have two games left, with their last home game being THIS week at 7PM — see their schedule here and get tickets while you can!

• Pop-Up Raleigh returns with their yearly Oktrophyfest event from 12-6PM! Come celebrate all things German with a larger market than normal! Enjoy live music, dancing, and best of all? — its free and open to the public:

• The Raleigh International Wine & Beer festival takes place in City Plaza in DTR from 12-8PM as well. The event is FREE to attend and there will be over 40 wineries and international beers at the event — details here.

• Starting at 6:45PM in Moore Square, the 2025 Raleigh Zombie Walk begins! Join the horde and dress your best for this flash mob style event downtown — brains here.

• A bass dance party featuring house, pop, disco and more from around the world takes place at Bitter Social this weekend, starts at 10PM and runs late — just $5 to get in.

• I know we have a few readers over in Apex as well, so check out the Geek & Grub Halloween Market at Optimist Farm at 4PM — 40+ vendors if you’re out that way!

Sunday 19th

• Need help with your bicycle repair or want to learn to do it yourself? Check out the community kickstand open shop hours from 10AM-2PM at SecurCafe — details.

• Wolfe & Porter is hosting a Fall Vintage Market at 11AM, stop by until 4PM and check out some of the places nearby after your shopping spree — info here.

• From 2-5PM check out the Hillsborough St. Trick or Treat with Live it Up! and The Portal HQ. Maps can be found in their comic books, family friendly event — trick or treat.

Monday 20th

• Curtain Call… From Beyond! A Theatre Haunts & History Tour takes place at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium from the 20th through 30th — get your tickets for this limited tour today!

Tuesday 21st

• Want to be more clued in to local happenings? Tune into the live streams of City Council meetings almost every Tuesday (multiple times) — details, times, and agendas here.

• The International Jazz Open is back! Running from 8-11PM at Neptunes, you can check out jazz improv on stage with the sounds of the Gaston Reggie Group — free vibes.
