Last Markets, Meet the Newsies, & Dinner Club Updates! - October 22nd
It's already almost Halloween, the state fair is in full swing, markets are hitting their last stride (but we are just hitting ours)! Extra, extra, read all about it in today's issue.
Good Morning Raleigh & Happy Wednesday!
Just a reminder, if you are having issues getting our emails be sure they aren’t showing up in promotions and move them to your inbox. Feel free to shoot us a simple reply like “yes” or “hi” to tell google that you like getting these as well.
In more exciting news though…
Our Dinner Club already has multiple tables booked for November 5th! Honestly, at the pace it’s going we had to add a few more restaurants to the list and we still may have to cap it pretty soon (though this is a very good problem to have).
Still a few more spots though, so go ahead and snag yours while you can!

• Speaking of members, I’ll keep my sales pitch short but I have had a few people ask how they can just support if they aren’t interested in member perks. If that is something you’re interested in check out the “Support Tier” linked here — thanks for the support!

— Local Updates —
• East Bower Cider recently partnered with Gem Raleigh, so you can now enjoy the patio weather with a cider and a pizza Tuesday-Saturday at 8PM — announced here.
• We previously shared the locally run Barkitecture event, a fundraiser for animal rescue partners, and they raised over $48,000 for those because of all those who attended — see the announcement here.
— Openings & Builds —
• It’s been pushed back a couple times but Battle & Birdie, a Partee Shack owned entertainment venue appears set to open in Midtown by November — see it here.
— Sports News —
• By my math, there seems to still be a very slim chance that the NC Courage ⚽️ make the playoffs if they can lock down a final win after their 4-1 stunner over Bay. Likely comes down to other teams losing more-so than us winning but fingers crossed.
• NC FC ⚽️ seem to be steady in the playoff spots with one game left after a 0-0 draw against Rhode Island on Saturday, catch that game on the 25th via ESPN.

That’s it folks! The monthly comes out this weekend (I can’t believe it either) and then it’s onto the Halloween edition of the newsletter for the last week of October.
Super excited to see how this Dinner Club turns out, my goal is to make this a monthly thing and to maybe expand to different districts around town but for now, just starting simple with just the one event downtown.
See you out there!
