It's (Officially) Fall Y'all - Sept. 24th

Hi Raleigh, Happy Wednesday! Thanks for being here, we’re gonna get straight to the updates today. Stay tuned Sunday for our October Monthly on Sunday.

Upcoming & Ongoing

• CAM Raleigh appears to be reopening (at least partially) again soon with an NC Artists Exhibition running from October 2nd to November 9th — more on that here.

• Raleigh Wide Open is coming up in less than 2 weeks, Raleigh’s largest folk and bluegrass event of the year is FREE with events all weekend long — details below:

• October 12th is Haunted Hartwell! Featuring a Puppy Costume Parade, Pumpkin Patch, Live Music, a Spooky Drag Show, shopping and much more — starts at 5PM.

• October 18th, join Raleigh City Farm + Models for Charity for a Fall Fashion Harvest Event — details here.

• The Book of Esther in the Age of Rembrandt, just opened up this past weekend and will be open through March — see the event page here for the new exhibit at NCMA.

• Tickets seem to be moving fast for the Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour (yes, a holiday event is already selling) — learn more here.

Wednesday 24th

• Canes Community Preseason Game with $10 tickets is tonight, check out the post on it here and the flyer below:

• The Raleigh Brewing Run/Walk Club starts at 6:30PM, they also have a BYOCraft night at the same time if that is more up your alley — full event list here.

• The Last Lafayette Village Sip & Shop takes place tonight from 6-8PM, enjoy seasonal drinks, live music, a fall themed wine glass, and other exclusive offers — info.

Thursday 25th

• NCSU Centennial Campus has a learn to DJ pop-up from 12-1PM at the Corner, view their full schedule of events for the week — right here.

• The Sunset Social at The Bend Bar on W. Morgan Street runs from 4-8PM, this event ends in October so go ahead and check it out before the season ends — info here:

• Our neighbors in Durham also have a Night Market from 5-9PM — details here.

Friday 26th

• NCSU Club Hockey has a few one goal games already this season, catch their last home game for a month this Friday at 8:30PM — details.

• Vinyl Night at Sneaky Penguin Brewing is back, 6-9PM with Pigeon Records — details.

• Rooftop stargazing at the Hartwell! Join the Raleigh Astronomy Club for a free event at 7:30PM, flyer below — linked here:

Saturday 27th

• Indie Rock Catalog is hosting Local Mixtape Vol. 2, a live recording of 3 amazing bands as they play Slim’s Downtown this weekend — show runs from 8-11PM.

• Midtown has a couple of artist playing at its Music Fest from 4-9PM, check out the venue below and the artist lineup here:

• NCSU take on Virginia Tech at home this weekend at 7PM, get your tickets and see their full schedule of games here.

Sports Scores

• The NC Courage moved into playoff position with a win over Orlando Pride late in the 89th minute — see the highlights here.

• The NC FC tied with Tampa Bay 2-2 as well this past Saturday, they play Miami FC Friday.

• The Hurricanes Preseason also started with Tampa Bay, canes falling 2-1 in the opening game. A few more preseason game before opening night on the 9th — schedule.
